3 Things I Learned Writing Online Every Day For 30 Days

I’ve had “post something” on my daily to-do list for a long time.

Sometimes it read “anything at all.” Other days, “at least start a twitter account.” And then more recently “why aren’t you posting?”

And never once were those tasks ever checked complete.

Until now.

I signed up for Ship 30 for 30 on May 19th and I’ve been writing and posting daily since then. Originally I thought cash flow management for small business owners would be my topic. That lines up with my career. But it turns out that I love talking about my decluttering journey.

And that’s the secret.

Dickie and Cole have outlined the process of building a writing habit and never running out of things to talk about. And their insights on the internet in general help new writers overcome their fear of posting online.

Now I’m a real digital writer!

Social And Online

I didn’t know what I wanted to write and I was afraid to post online.

The community of Ship 30 for 30 members was supportive and kind. And although I was posting online, it was this small group that saw, read, and responded to my writing regularly. I built my daily habit in a safe and supportive environment.

The internet is big, nobody notices what you’re contributing!

I Enjoy Writing

I was beginning to think that I wasn’t a writer, before I even got started.

How could I be a writer if I didn’t write and couldn’t post? Good morning 9-5. Good bye dream.

Turns out, I love writing and 5am is my favorite part of the day.

Sticky Notes Everywhere

My mind is full of ideas.

And my house is overrun with sticky notes.

Thank you Ship 30 friends, I will always be grateful for you.

And I can’t wait to see where your writing takes you.
